Dreamer

Here’s to sweet beginnings and bitter ends,

To the friends and family who never made amends.

To the tomorrow we know we might never see,

And all the beautiful people we'll never get to be.

To you and me, and everything in between.

Here's to moments lost, but memories found.

To the furious, frenetic, and almost profound.

To dreams that keep me awake, and fears that no longer make a sound.

To the joy I don't deserve but the better life I'll fight to earn. 

To new hopes forged, and regrets left to burn.

To you, you, who loves me at my best and sees me through my worst.

And to all those I've lost because I put you first.

Thank you.

Now give me another story to make up,

Because you're a God,

And I'm just a Dreamer that can't wake up.
